Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in joining the team at Pilot Mountain. You will find volunteering at our hall both challenging and rewarding.

Be aware we have specific intake dates for new members.  Our next new recruit orientation will take place in September 2021.  Please complete our PMVFD Volunteer Application and drop it off at the hall on a Tuesday evening between 6:00 – 7:00pm.

To get you started, we have a new recruit package to give you some basic skills. Once that is completed, you begin a 6-month probationary period, and afterwards you may become a full member of the Pilot Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.

Regular training nights are Tuesdays from  6:30 – 9:30pm.

We offer training events throughout the year.

For more information about becoming a volunteer firefighter, drop in on a training session or contact us using the form below.

For additional information on volunteer fire fighting please go to Regional District of Fraser Fort George’s Volunteer Firefighter FAQ page.

If you are an experienced fire fighter, we have a fast track program where you can challenge the new recruit program by providing your certifications and demonstrating your skill sets.

This is a great place to volunteer and build skills!
